Contemplation, Meditation & Silence Retreats in Assisi, Italy "Step out of the busy-ness of daily life and into the sanctuary of your heart" Bruce Davis |
" I cannot begin to express the beauty of the retreat. My life is back to full tilt, with all of my outer activities, yet there is a space inside me that is the home that I carry with me." Cybie Mauro Syracuse, New York |

The
pilgrimage of the heart is the calling to find a spirituality
that embraces us deeply.
It is the calling of our hearts for a true life. Daily meditation
and contemplation in the Assisi Retreat Center, the sacred sites of Francis and Clare and in nature will
be offered. It is a calling to receive the beauty of the moment, the special peace of Assisi. Sitting in the silence, we find our own inner beauty, our inner well, our soul. Shared meditations and teachings guide us to our hearts where we are free, unique and whole. |

You will have the opportunity to visit the monasteries and gardens of Assisi or simply sit under the olive trees of San Damiano. In these places it is easy to feel how the mystics, Francis and Clare, opened to an overflowing abundance of grace. The physical beauty of Assisi Italy, this ancient hilltop town, invites us to enjoy the peace and to rest in our souls. We step away from the daily life of responsibilities and concerns into the pure spirit and wonderful nature that feeds our hearts. We spend much time in nourishing our selves, developing our inner resources. In the shelter of our retreat, our true ground of being is rediscovered. There is so much in Assisi, nature and God’s unique presence to enjoy. |

The popularity of these retreats comes from Bruce's gift in sharing the essence of spirituality in terms people from all countries and religions understand, the language of the heart. |

The Old Garden Monastery has it's own private garden entrance, sitting room and terrace. It is the perfect place to sit and feel the peace of Assisi. On a pedestrian only back street, just off via Santa Maria delle Rose, near Piazza San Rufino, it is nestled under the dramatic Castle on the top of Assisi. The Old Garden Monastery dates back to the 12th century. Each room has been newly renovated and has it's own private bathroom. |
